Notorious RBG Women of Tomorrow Scholarship

The Gates Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be a high school senior from one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander, and/or Hispanic American. Applicants must be Pell Grant eligible. They must also be a US citizen, national or permanent resident. Applicants must also be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Eligible applicants must also plan to enroll full-time in a four-year degree program at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.

Heisman High School Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Students must be a senior during the 2023-2024 school year, and enroll as a full-time student at a college or university for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants must also be a resident of one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. Scholarship funds will be mailed directly to the college or university the winner attends and may only be used toward educational expenses and book fees. Applicants must have at least a weighted “B” grade average (or 3.0 GPA) during grades 9, 10, and 11. Applicants must also participate in at least one of the sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games, or the National Federation of State High School Associations. Students Applicants must have participated in volunteer service, community involvement, or leadership within their school or community.

Elks National Foundation: Most Valuable Student Award

Marines: Concerto Competition

Award: 1st place: $2,500 and guest soloist appearance with the Marine Chamber Orchestra during the 2024 concert season. 2nd/3rd place: $1,000 and $500 scholarships respectively

Jack Kent Cooke College Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Scholarship program is available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Applicants must intend to enroll in a four-year college beginning in fall 2024 and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. 

Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders

Award: $1,000 for those attending a 4-year institution; $500 for those attending a 2-year institution

Hagan Scholarship Foundation

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen attending a traditional public high school in the U.S. that is governed by a school district. Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA and enroll at an eligible 4-year college or university in the first semester following high school graduation. Ron Brown Scholar Program

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be black or African American, must have an impressive academic history and be an exceptional leader. Student must also participate in community service activities. They must also demonstrate financial need, be a US citizen or permanent resident, and be a current high school senior at the time of their application. 

J-100 AFJROTC Character-in-Leadership Scholarship Program

Award: 4-years of 100% paid tuition at any university or crosstown partner with an AFROTC detachment; $10,000 per-year allowance for university-owned/on-campus housing; annual book stipend, and monthly cadet stipend (at least 100 cadets)

Eligibility Requirements: Air Force Junior ROTC sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing in their program may apply. Must have a 3.0 or greater GPA on the 4.0 scale and the recommendation of their SASI and high school administrator (principal or counselor). Meeting Street Scholarship

Award: Up to $10,000 per year towards college tuition

Eligibility Requirements: The application process is designed to be simple. If you meet the five criteria (criteria located in the link below), you can receive a Meeting Street Scholarship award of up to $10,000 per year for each academic year you remain eligible. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a graduating, minority high school senior and a United States. Applicants must present evidence of financial need; demonstrate a record of academic excellence; and demonstrate leadership potential and dedication to community service. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited and JRF approved 4-year college/university within the US and cannot have accrued more than 25% of the credits needed to graduate from college. 

Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship

Award: $1,500

Eligibility Requirements: Student must be a high school senior or enrolled in college full-time. Must be planning to pursue a degree in a qualifying area of study related to the agriculture industry. Study may attend a vocational, 2-year or 4-year qualifying ag related program after graduating high school. Minimum GPA requirement is 2.5.

James F. Byrnes Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship a student must have one or both parent deceased, be a US citizen and SC resident, have need of financial assistance to attend college, be a current high school senior, have a satisfactory record, and plan to pursue a bachelor's degree at an in-person accredited four-year college or university. South Carolina Federal Credit Union 2025 Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be a legal US resident, and have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants should also be in good standing with their current school and have plans to attend a traditional college or university on a full-time basis or a specialized/technical college or university on a part-time or full-time basis, in South Carolina.

Eligibility: McLeod Health aims to assist students with attaining their healthcare career goals. This program will provide financial assistance to students who have been accepted into approved programs of study in an identified healthcare employment area of need. The scholarships are for tuition only with varying amounts respective to the area of study. Awardees will be selected in March of 2025. Florence Section NCNW Scholarship Application

Carolina Trust and HTC Key Scholarships

Eligibility: Applicants must be a graduating high school senior from a high school located in one of the specified counties on the application. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be accepted as a full-time student by either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University. Applicants must plan to attend either CCU or FMU to pursue a 4-year degree and enroll in a minimum of 12 college credit hours. 

Nickie Moose Scholarship

The SC State Fair's Ride of Your Life Scholarship

Award: $10,000 (Awarded annually at $2,500)

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be a full time resident of South Carolina and a senior in a public or private high school or home school in South Carolina. They must complete the entire online application, attach a current photograph (preferably a senior class photo), and must attend a SC public or private college, university or technical college. 

Nemec Abbott Foundation Scholarship

Award: Full 4-year scholarship to 1 high school senior in each high school in Florence 1. A full 2-year scholarship will also be awarded to 6 high school seniors who want to pursue an associate degree at a technical college. Full Scholarships include tuition, books, and on-campus room/board, less any other scholarship money received.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be graduating seniors of a Florence School District 1 high school. Must have an acceptance letter from an accredited 2-year or 4-year college in the state of SC. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need or hardship which should be explained in the personal statement, along with the FAFSA determination and additional aid. Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Quest Bridge: College Prep Scholars Program

Eligibility Requirements: High school juniors, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S., and U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad. Florence County Education Association - Retired Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be a senior graduating from a public high school in Florence, SC. They must also be accepted to attend an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university in SC as a full-time student. They must plan to pursue a career in education as a teacher, counselor, administrator, speech therapist, school nurse, curriculum specialist, or school social worker. The applicant must also present evidence of possessing leadership qualities. 

McLeod Health Youth Apprenticeship

Eligibility Requirements: This program is designed to help high school students with the unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience while completing their education. Application is open to rising high school juniors and seniors who have the ability to commit to the program schedule to include school and work hours. USC - 2024 South Carolina High School Writing Contest

The S.C. High School Writing Contest is open to South Carolina high school juniors and seniors in public, private, and home schools. The contest offers cash prizes of $1,000, $500, and $250 awarded to the first, second, and third place winners.

The Coolidge Scholarship

Award: Full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student's tuition, room, board, and expenses for 4-years of undergraduate study. 

Deadline: Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 5:00 PM

Eligibility Requirements:

• 2024-25 Coolidge Scholarship applicants must intend to enroll full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university as an undergraduate for the first time in fall 2026. That is to say, students in their junior year of high school, or the equivalent if home schooled, are eligible to apply. (Students who are currently high school juniors but take some courses at a local college are indeed eligible to apply for the Coolidge Scholarship.)

• 2024-25 Coolidge Scholarship applicants must be citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States of America by the 2024-25 scholarship deadline.

• 2024-25 Coolidge Scholarship applicants cannot be the immediate family member of any current employee, trustee, or significant donor to the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation or the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Fund. (Note: Significant donor is defined as one with lifetime giving in excess of $25,000).

Eligibility Requirements: High school juniors, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S., and U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad. Earning primarily A's in the most challenging courses offered. Demonstrating strong writing skills and intellectual curiosity, plus resilience, integrity, and motivation to succeed. Typically from a household earning less than $65,000 annually with minimal assets (for a household of four members). 

McLeod Health Youth Apprenticeship

Eligibility Requirements: This program is designed to help high school students with the unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience while completing their education. Application is open to rising high school juniors and seniors who have the ability to commit to the program schedule to include school and work hours. Students will be required to complete an on-site interview for vetting.
